So Prabhu Ram should have been welcomed from a 14 year long Vanvaas (followed by the Battle with Ravana) where all he saw was trees, by planting more trees just to suit a well crafted & concerted agenda to malign a Hindu festival ? It’s not even remotely about environment, is it? This seems more like an attempt to make a community feel apologetic about its practices. If environmental concerns are genuine, activists should lead by example in their daily lives before giving unwarranted advice. Here are just a few aspects to address and the list is far from exhaustive. Stop eating cooked food without sustainable energy, walk everywhere to reduce CO2 emissions and consider the environmental impact of clothing choices etc.🌲 🌲 🌲 🌲 🌲 People in air-conditioned spaces, benefitting from capitalism while using paper made from trees, have no right to speak on what Valmiki ji could/ would have written to avoid climate issues of today. Before targeting other religions, environmentalists should first demonstrate a commitment to a greener lifestyle.
